CE markedThe CE mark is the ultimate assurance of Perko PowermaticŪ's suitability for use on fire doors. All products used in buildings must comply with the Construction Products Regulations (CPR). In the case of Perko PowermaticŪ, it is the first two in the above list which are most relevant and which govern a product's suitability for fire doors. The CE mark denotes the product's compliance with the performance requirements of BS EN 1154:1997 for power size 3 controlled door closing devices, as certified by an independent test laboratory In addition to compliance with BS EN 1154:1997 itself, Perko PowermaticŪ must also meet the requirements of the fire testing standard BS EN 1634-1 and must be manufactured under a recognised factory production control system, BS EN ISO 9001:2000. When a product, such as Perko PowermaticŪ carries the CE mark, responsibility for the product's compliance with the appropriate standards falls on the manufacturer. It is for this reason that the CE mark on every Perko PowermaticŪ represents such an excellent means of establishing its suitability for use on fire doors.
